So we rose to the occasion
And created a night
An event to remember
No dissenters in sight
Interesting to note
That all the critics
Are suddenly coming out with plaudits
Where was this faith when things went wrong?
Now that the world is awed, all are quick to sing a song.
With lessons learnt, I pray we lift our game.
Contribute to the nation’s pride and not it’s shame.
